On happiness and the meaning of life:

Overhead on a podcast, I heard Marc Andressen say “don’t focus on happiness, focus on satisfaction. Satisfaction comes when you put in hard work and experience pain in order to create some kind of value.”

A quote from Viktor Frankl drives home the same message.

“What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him.” – Viktor Frankl

How does this then tie with having enough?
