Getting Annoyed

Deborah KayBy Deborah KayJuly 2, 20223 Minutes

I get annoyed easily. Some people can be very annoying.

However, when I feel myself getting annoyed, I consciously ask myself, “instead of getting annoyed, what can I learn from it?”

If my mother is late and I get annoyed, I tell myself not to be late as it is disrespectful of other people’s time.

If someone keeps interjecting our conversations by talking about herself, I tell myself not to talk about myself as it can be rather self-absorbed.

If someone complains incessantly and I get annoyed. I tell myself not to complain as whining is one of the least productive things that one can do.
